Will solar really save me money?
Yes, solar panels can significantly lower your electricity bills and may pay for themselves over time through energy savings.
How long do solar panels last?
Most solar panels have a lifespan of 25-30 years or more. While 30-year-old panels may not produce at 100% efficiency, they will still produce power.
Do solar panels work on cloudy days or in winter?
Yes, the production may be slightly lower than on beautiful, clear, sunny days, but solar panels are still able to generate power in cloudy weather and during the winter.
What happens if there is a power outage?
Without a battery backup system, most solar systems shut off during outages for safety. With battery storage, you can maintain power.
Do I have to clean my solar panels?
Solar panels require minimal maintenance. For aesthetics, you can sweep them of debris, but it’s not necessary.
Do I need a new roof before I get solar panels?
No. At the time of a site quote, we can discuss your specific roof and what would be the best for your home.
Are there tax credits or rebates available?
